Louanges à Dieu le Tout-Puissant. Que la paix et la bénédiction soient sur le Messager de Dieu, sa famille, ses fidèles compagnons et tous ceux qui les suivent.

Conformément aux exigences mondiales de l’observation du croissant lunaire, le Conseil des imams d’Ottawa-Gatineau (le Conseil) a validé les informations réelles de l’observation du croissant lunaire le soir du dimanche 10 mars (29 Sha’ban 1445).

 
Les membres du Conseil d’Administration et l’Imam du CIO félicitent les membres de la communauté et leur souhaitent un joyeux Ramadan. Qu’Allah bénisse votre mois, votre jeûne, vos veillées et qu’Il clôture le Ramadan pour nous tous par le bonheur et la libération du purgatoire. Il est le Protecteur et l’Omnipotent. Amen.
 

Praise be to God the Almighty. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of God, his family, his faithful companions and all those who follow them.

Based on the global moonsighting requirements, the Council of Imams of Ottawa-Gatineau (the Council) has validated the actual moonsighting information on the evening of Sunday, March 10 (Sha’ban 29, 1445). Therefore, the Council hereby declares that the first of Ramadan will be on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Accordingly, Taraweeh prayers will begin tonight on March 10, 2024 insha-Allah. Ramadan, the month of the Quran and fasting is a unique month in our calendar that not only brings along enormous blessings of Allah but also the opportunity for our forgiveness and extending kindness to others. The Council is encouraging everyone to partake in your neighbourhood masjid, draw benefit from the congregational prayers; and secure the assured reward from Allah (SWT).

 

The members of the Board of Directors and the Imam of the OIC congratulate the members of the community and wish them a happy Ramadan. May Allah bless your month, your fasting, your night prayers, and may He seal Ramadan for all of us with happiness and freedom from hell. He is the Protector and the Omnipotent. Amen.
