En se fondant sur les informations relatives à l’observation de la lune, conformément au critère mondial d’observation de la lune, le Conseil des imams d’Ottawa-Gatineau confirme par la présente qu’il n’y a pas eu d’observations crédibles de la lune le mardi 29 Ramadan (2021-05-11) et que par conséquent, nous compléterons les 30 jours du Ramadan. Ainsi le premier jour de Shawwal sera le 13 mai 2021 et nous célébrerons Aïd al-Fitr ce jeudi In Sha’ā Allah.

Based on the moon sighting information consistent with the global moon sighting criterion, the Council of Imams of Ottawa-Gatineau hereby confirms that there were no credible moon sighting reports on Tuesday, 29th Ramadan (2021-05-11) as such we will complete 30 days for Ramadan. Accordingly, the 1st of Shawwal will be on May 13, 2021, and we will celebrate Eidul Fitr this coming Thursday In Sha’ā Allah.
