Le CIO s’est doté de nouveaux Règlements Généraux (RA) par à la suite d’un processus long, participatif et inclusif. En effet, la volonté de changer les RG du CIO a été manifesté par les anciens CA depuis 2012, soucieux d’aligner les documents du CIO aux changements affectant à la fois les contextes internes et externes de l’organisation et les attentes évoluant des membres de la communauté.
En juin 2021, le CA a mandaté un Comité de Révision de la charte (CRC) du CIO de lui proposer un projet de RA dans le but de poursuivre le processus d’amélioration de la gouvernance du CIO. Le 08 juin 2022, le CRC a présenté au CA son projet de la charte révisée du CIO, lequel a été révisé par les membres du CA sur plusieurs mois avant d’être proposé aux membres pour discussion et adoption le 18 et le 19 avril 2023.
Les présents RA répondent à la réalité du CIO, présentent les fins du CIO conformément aux directives de Revenu Canada et encadrent mieux les différentes activités et services présentés par le CIO. En plus, ils offrent des opportunités au CIO ouverte sur le futur compte tenu de l’évolution démographique des membres, de l’augmentation et la diversification des attentes qui en résultent.
